I spent a good portion of today trying to locate disc images for the Dreamcast. I ended up with GDI files not knowing that I couldn't burn those to disks. Everything on. Is there any reason to prefer using GDI files over CDI for gdemu? And noticed that the gdi files are much larger than their cdi counterparts. Does the file type matter at all when using gdemu? I know that its compatible with both formats, but is there a performance difference between these formats? CDI's often have some files missing in.

The other sites (specifically LoveROMs and its sister site) weren't being 'approached' either. They were flat-out being slapped with lawsuits, not just for hosting ROMs but also for using Nintendo trademarks (logos, title screens, characters, etc).IIRC Emuparadise had already stopped hosting Nintendo properties and complied with any DMCA takedown requests that came their way, but the threat of such a lawsuit (not from Nintendo specifically, but any publisher) must have been enough for them to call it quits.
